We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join the COO Office as Transformation & Operational Risk Specialist , who will work alongside the various Team Leads within the COO Office and the Bank's Operational Risk Management Division to manage transformation and risk-related matters such as ongoing review and improvement of key processes, reporting and monitoring.

Main Duties
  • Work closely with product owners, project managers, technology teams and other partners to drive improved service quality, risk assessment and standardization of process in resolving issues faced on existing and upcoming changes with a focus on client centricity
  • Represent the COO Office at the Bank's Operational Risk Management forums and serve as the subject matter expert in undertaking all operational risk-related tasks
  • Responsible for Bank-wide communications of our transformation
  • Setup and standardize the reports measuring, adoption, engagement, service quality and user feedback across the key systems
  • Partner with the various Team Leads in the COO Office to continually improve operational risk processes, promote a strong culture of operational excellence
  • Implement operational risk management practices and tools and ensure the integration into the core business processes within the COO Team
  • Perform periodic Risk Management monitoring, including ongoing self-assessments and root cause analysis for operational risk events to ensure adherence to Operational Risk policies
  • Proactively participate in the discussions on identifying and mitigating operational risk matters
  • Identify risk areas and address control weakness and/ or gaps to ensure that operational risk considerations have been adequately assessed within the COO Office
  • Monitor key risk indicator/trends and lead deep dive review of areas of potential emerging risk
  • Contribute to materials for presentations at working groups, senior management meetings, and providing sufficient information to inform key stakeholders
  • Prepare materials for all necessary reporting
  • Conduct internal trainings for staff on risk related matters
  • Able to connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-9 years of solid experience in participating in complex, cross-functional technology-related projects in banking
  • 6-9 years of experience in operational risk management or regulatory compliance in financial industry
  • Ability and proven track record of challenging the status quo to proactively identify and remediate risk with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive change and work independently
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills with successful track record of completion
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Passionate and capable of learning in a changing environment while delivering results
  • Knowledge of private banking products and services will be an advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to co-ordinate efficiently with stakeholders and bridge the communication gaps with the right attitude
